==============================================================================================================

                       -= A Zelda Classic quest made by Petoe (2002-2004) =-
                             * Made for Zelda Classic v1.92 Beta183 *
                       (Playing with other ZC versions is not recommended!)

Thank you for downloading this game! Mega Man Dr.Wily's Revenge - Director's Cut is the 3rd release of this
high quality Zelda Classic quest. If you have any of the old versions of MMDWR on your computer, you can now get rid of them and start playing MMDWR DC. MMDWR DC is how the quest should have been when I rushed the quest
back in January 2004. But thanks to many complaints and suggestions made by various people, MMDWR couldn't
probably be much better than it is now. If you're new to Zelda Classic or if you haven't played many non-Zelda
quests yet, don't be too surprised if the game sometimes feels like you're playing something else than a
Zelda Classic quest. ;-)

This is just a readme file with basic info, so if you need help to proceed in the game, you can ask help in
-Armageddon Games Forums (http://www.armageddongames.net/forumdisplay.php?f=16)
-or in PureZC Forums (http://www.purezc.com/forums/)
-or check out the "Help" section at my site (http://www.freewebs.com/finnishflesh/)

-= Read this important info BEFORE playing! =-

1) "LOADING SCREENS"/WARPING DELAYS

-Sometimes when you warp from a screen to another (eg. entering a house or exiting a cutscene), the screen stays blank for a while and it may seem like the game froze or something like that. If this happens, it's not a bug. Just try pressing in all the directions if this happens and you should be able to continue the game normally. The same goes to cutscenes. Sometimes you may have to press in some direction to bring out the next screen. So always when there seems to be a delay in the quest, just press into all directions to proceed!
(The most common direction is down)

2) CONTINUE BUG

- I have tried to get rid of this nasty little bug, but it still occurrs in some places after you die and choose to continue. So if you find yourself stuck in a corner of some weird screen, just save and load the
game. It is perfectly safe and doesn't take more than a couple of seconds extra time.
Or if you run to any other weird problems in levels after dying, just re-enter the level. Shouldn't be a big
problem really.

-= "Tips and Tricks" =-

1) KEYCARDS

-Keycards are one of the most important items in the quest if you want to proceed. Finding keycards from some levels can be tough. In most levels the keycards are waiting for you in a chest, or just laying there on the ground. Sometimes keycards can be hidden underwater as well. But like in Zelda games, there's some levels where you have to kill all enemies on the screen to make the keycard appear. Usually in these kind of rooms there's some kind of a sign or a tip that should make the player realize "hey, maybe this is a keycard room" so that you don't have to kill all enemies in every screen of the quest. But usually screens with many enemies have some kind of a prize. So killing a lot of enemies in levels can give you a lot of Zens, bombs, or even keycards. ;)

2) LIFE

-There's 3 overworlds, 12 levels/stages and 3 towns/cities in the game, and of course much more. There's no full "Life Expansion Containers" in this game at all, only "Life Expansion Pieces" (HC Pieces in Zelda quests)
There's usually 4 LEPs in each of the big levels. All the other pieces can be found from the main overworld, southern overworld, winning minigames or looking from underground (You can find LEPs from underwater too).
Always before entering a new level it would be wise to go looking for LEPs since you will be needing energy
in this game. MMDWR DC is not really hard, but it's not really easy either.
A new addition in MMDWR DC are the Energy Rechargers in the Dome's. You should always step into one if you're
low on energy.

3) TALKING TO PEOPLE OR READING SIGNS

-This game has a lot of interactivity. It means that when you see a person, you can usually talk to him/her if you just walk next to this person. And there's a lot of computers and signs in this game which you can (and must) read when you just step in front of it. The same goes to all kinds of buttons and triggers on walls.

4) "EVENTS"

-This game uses "boss flags" a lot, so it means that when you do something somewhere, a new place might open somewhere else. So for example if you see people saying "come back later!", return there later to see if something has changed. (Eg. the shop in Lapin Town starts selling stuff after you have finished the 2nd Dome)

5) SECRETS

-Many times when you try to proceed in a level and you seem to get nowhere, there must be something you have
realize. For example, if you see a cracked wall or a broken computer, maybe they are much weaker than the wall
and that way they could be bombable. And when looking for secrets, you have to look for differences in graphics. It means that if you look at a mountain wall and see a tile that is different from the rest of the
tiles on the wall, it could be bombable. Or if you see many metal crates on a screen, but one of the crates
is darker than the others, it could be meltable with the Heat Beam...

6) SAVING

-Save often! When you enter a town, a level or a new overwold, and you save, you usually continue from there
instead of continuing from the very beginning of the quest like in many other ZC quests.

=== STORY ==================================================================================================

The main baddie from many Mega Man games, Dr.Wily, escapes from prison.
One day Wily's scanners spot something interesting: There's enormous amount of power coming from Mega City Museum. Wily finds out that the power is coming from an ancient golden item called "Triforce". But soon the group of thieves from North steals this golden triangle, and outside of the museum it breaks into 8 small
fragments as a protection procedure so that one person wouldn't get his hands on the whole triforce and rule
the whole world. Well, obviously Wily wants to collect these pieces for himself.
The pieces flew in different places, and Wily sent his robot army to find those pieces. But the
power of the Triforce pieces made all of Wily's robots to protect those pieces instead of getting
them to Wily. Wily gets angry.
Wily sends Mega Man a message that he has abducted his sister Roll, and even worse, he has control of a huge asteroid and he is going to steer the asteroid towards earth unless Mega Man doesn't obey Wily's orders.
Wily's orders are simple: "Collect the triforce for me or the world is doomed".
This is where the quest begins, but there's many interesting details and twists in the story that you find out by playing the game.
